Hum. The voice acting itself for School Rumble is actually pretty solid, but I don't like either of the sister's voices for some reason. Harima's is pretty good though. Sometimes sounds like Crispin Freeman. Wonder if it is.

Hey, has anyone seen both Bubblegum Crisis and Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040? Which one should I watch?

Bubblegum Crisis is a classic, in my opinion. If you choose to watch them, you should watch Crisis, then Crash, wait a month and then watch 2040.

2040 is like an alternate retelling of Crisis.

The original Crisis is still one of my favorite sci-fi animes.

I heard that 2040 was an alternate retelling, which is why I wondered if I should skip one and watch the other. But now I guess I'll watch both. Also, are any of the spinoff series any good (AD Police or Parasite Dolls)?

Yay! Episode 1 of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya season 2 is out!

Wait, I am confused. The second season is supposed to start out with replays from the first season, but they only have 7 episodes from the first in the second season vs the 14 in the first season?

If I understand correctly, they are putting in episodes between some of the episodes from the original season, right?

This time they are doing it in chronological order. IIRC, episodes 2,3,5,10,13, and 14 came from the original Light novel, with the in-between episodes coming from the other light novels. Apparently, they are just airing the original series in chronological order while filling in the gaps with new episodes to make a 28 episode series.

I started watching AD Police but never got through. Rob has mentioned that Parasite Dolls is good.

I've been watching Ristorante on CR and it is a great series. When I first saw the preview, I thought it was going to be extremely boring. An anime about old men in glasses? That doesn't really jump out as being exciting like giant robots and high school girls in bikinis.

Anyone watching Saki, Natsu no Arashi, Kaasan, Shangri-La, K-ON!, Hayate Season 2, or Eden of the East?

Those are the new series that I have been following, and here is the order of what I enjoy seeing the most.

1. Eden of the East
2. K-ON!
3. Hayate Season 2
4. Saki
5. Natsu no Arashi
6. Kaasan
7. Shangri-La

BTW, Eden of the East episode 9 and K-ON! episode 10 released yesterday.

I've been keeping up with Saki, Eden, Basquash, K-On, and Phantom.

For me:

1) Phantom
2) Eden
3) Basquash
4) K-On
5) Saki

At least to me, Phantom just blows everything else out of the water completely. I'd very highly reccomend it if you're not watching it.

What Phantom are you talking about? THe only one I could find was a 5 year old 3 episode OVA.


I also forgot to put Ristorante in my list, I say that it ranks right below Saki.

I've been watching School Rumble only for a while (actually have been getting some regular movies for once, although mostly Jackie Chan movies).

I <3 School Rumble. Season 2 is even funnier than the first.
