I really liked the old series, though I imagine it would look quite dated now. I'll watch tonight and decided if I like the remake.

Would be Nice to see Marc Singer or one of the original Actors have a cameo or semi permanent Role in the new series as a tribute to the old one, like they did with Richard Hatch from the original BSG in the new series, maybe wasn't the same character but had a "cameo" like appearance with a different character in the new series, but would be nice to see Singer or one of the original cast or several of them in the new series.

1st episode pro's:
Anna is HAWT!!
Good camera work and cgi
Cons:
Way too much music
weak sauce script
they tried to cram too much into the first episode. This might be because we all know the original story though.
I'll watch again, but it needs to tighten up for me to watch long term. | |

Nick hit my thoughts, Anna was hot, Lisa was hot, but we knew that going in.
I didn't see the "WOW" factor that I hoped for but I'll give it another week or two. Scripting was very very weak, they better tighten that up or I'll be out. Not sure they crammed to much or not enough I almost think a two hr ep would have been better.

Anna is played by Morena Baccarin, if you've ever watched Firefly (The Movie, Serenity), or the last season or two of Stargate SG-1, she was in those shows... Morena Baccarin
from what IMDB has in their database looks like there is only 2 Episodes right now, so who knows, it might be on the air for those 2 and then disappear like so many other shows these days on the big networks.
unless the entire cast is to be killed off by 2nd episode and a whole new one come in LOL | |

I Surrender to Anna - the line forms behind me 
The show got my attention...BUT, way too much info crammed in one show..
they show up
they know more about us then we do
there is already an established sleeper cell that's been going on for years
the big black guy went from looking at wedding rings to probably leading the sleeper cell???
The makers could have drawn some of this stuff out for weeks to build up some supense. Now the whole thing will be completly about us vs. them...

I loved when the ships showed up... eveyone was scared, then Anna says... oh don't worry we're good aliens not bad aliens and suddenly everyone cheered and all was well. I don't think we'd trust them quite that quickly.
