Wanted to see who likes these "Reality-Based" TV shows...

I can't stand em! I see enough drama in "real life" to worry about watching somebody else's on TV. When I watch TV I want to relax and be entertained, not worry about whether or not Suzie is going to be alright or not.
No offense to those of you who like to watch, it's just not my cup of tea. Now you talk Discovery channel and that's a whole different ball game. Like those 2 guys diving with Great Whites last night...ok, I'll stop.

I got a kick out of them at first. Until they started to play out. I would like to see a more one on one competition rather than gearing it tward the back biting and scheming side. The participants are forces to show what is worst in humans not what is best. Pit them against obstacles so large that they must team up and kick the sick lame or just plain lazy ones off. The one who would have survived wins. The winner of these things are the lesser of the worst two individuals. the nicest or the strongest one are usually the third runner up

it seems a new one is coming out every season. how about we get jail cell mates give them weapons and let them go head to head?
i can't stand road rules, big brother, mulla island, real world, the box and what ever else they come out with.
ill stick to cartoons

The running man had some possibilities.
How bout real stories of victims and the criminals that tried to destroy their lives for 20 bucks.
Shiv Island a show about 100 criminals put on an island with resources for 25 and their struggle for survival. Winner gets to move to France. Because they are so understanding of our criminals and would be more than happy to absorb the poor down trodden individual

Now that I got the size down a bit I might could do that.
I was looking into it at first but found I quickly passed the 10 k limit.
I think to move the eye with out a lot of work I probably will have to do it in a painting program because I will never match the exact location of the camera again. I will experiment though.

what about a game where you put a whole bunch of game show hosts on an island and you put an assasin on the island. the assasin gets a gun and some grenades and the game show hosts get a piece of string and A match
This would certainly get my attention!

I'm more like Martoch... Give me History/Discovery/TLC and I'm happy! (and throw in an episode or two of Jeopary! for some more stimulation!)There are only 10 types of people that understand binary.....

TechTV and Comedy Central what more could you want?

Whose line is it anyways the reality tv show!
lol
The rest is just @%#^%
Sad thing is.. in SOME ways .. it is reality, because SOME people really are that coniving and backstabbing to "win" in life... doesn't take a gameshow to tell me that one.Helicopters don't fly; they vibrate so much and make so much noise that the earth rejects them.

the funny thing is i never watched tv while i was away at college these last two semesters. When i left there were maybe 3 reality tv shows and i thought they would die out in a few months. Lo and behold i come back and there are tons of em! i was shocked and dismayed to say the least.

Hey, Vass, you like the British version of "Who's Line..." on Comedy Central or the American (Drew Carey) version better?

I'm with you Geekgrl, TLC, discovery and sports are my only use for the tv, sometimes friends. I can't stand reality shows. Sometimes fear factor is interesting. Is that a reality show?

I think Fear Factor is classified as being a reality tv show.

I watch very little TV but the Survivor shows have always interested me, I think its because of it being filmed on another continent in a different land then we know, ive traveled the world and it just interests me wondering how I would react under similar conditions---the worst part is having your "friends" telling you "we dont want you here no more---hit it" THAT gets me every time...

i think they are the poorest excuse for a good show ever imagined.
