I'm thinking a balancing issue that they are more than trying to milk.
If your axle was messed up to the point that it needs to be replaced, you would notice it a hell of a lot sooner than 45mph and it would not be driveable, let alone at those speeds.
Besides, I'm no mechanic, but what the hell is a front right axle? If that isn't a giveaway to their scam than I don't know what is...
I get slight vibes at 55-60mph as well..it's a balancing issue.

FWD car, Camo. Usually sold as half-shafts, full shaft assys and inner CV joints. Technically a transaxle. |

Being I'm a regular in the car talk thread I should have thought twice about the wording of it and realized what it meant. |

Chelsea, take the car to a tire shop before committing to an expensive repair. You could have nothing more than an out of balance tire.

| Thanks guys
Thanks guys for all of your good advise. I did take it to a tire shop and they said it was not in need of a realignment. I think I will take it into a shop to have the work done. I'd hate to be stranded somewhere with a broken axle. Thanks again a girl like me needs all the help she can get. |
