GET THE HELL OUT OF D.C.!

Up to one inch of snow expected

Quote:
Federal employees can take unscheduled leave or telework from home on Wednesday in anticipation of snow expected to fall across the D.C. metro area.

God help those poor people.

I can't speak for DC, but you have two major problems here in virginia Hampton Roads area.

Drivers are inexperienced in snow driving and the road crews do not do the same job they do up north.

I have seen a dusting trash the area. When up in New York it would take 6 to 12 inches for the same impact.

It's not like your area never gets snow, you still get snow a few times a year. Not saying I don't believe you, I have a friend that lives out there and she says that drivers are morons even when the road conditions are good.

Pussies.

Even so, it really makes me nervous that these people can't even adapt to a simple weather condition. Have they not learned to drive slower on slick roads? Or are they like most idiots I've seen on the road barreling down the highway during slick conditions as if the tarmac was perfectly dry?

I'll take driving through an inch of snow any day compared to our thunderstorms here during hurricane season in FL.
