Progress on my Jeep
Well I purchased 1989 Jeep for 900 bucks
They guy claimed it would not start because of Fuel problem. No problem you have to assume at that point that it is totally F'd.
He claimed it was a 2 year old rebuild with one year spent behind the shed.
I got it running sort of but Found out it had Serious engine problems (not completely unexpected)
Took the engine out and began taking it apart.
Found the head gasket blown, Piston had melted on the wall of the cylinder.
$430 Machine work head resurfaced and Bored it 60 thousandths over
$380 for master rebuild kit
$60 for new Exhaust manifold
$25 head bolts
$30 Paint (very important for performance.)
I am not sure if I will have to spring for a wheelie Bar for it now. Who knows how much horsepower It will be putting out.
new vital statistics.
150 CI to 153.6 Cubic inches
9.1:1 to 9.3:1 Compression ratio
Blue to Yellow Engine color upgrade 75 horse power?
Chrome painted dip stick 30 hp
Chrome painted Thermostat housing upgrade 42 hp

Don't be silly. It'll still barely get out of its own way!
But it'll be fun to drive.

It is yellow! Why would I even want a blower?
The thermostat is painted silver!

If you wanted a real HP gain, you should have painted it with brown zebra stripes.

Hell, I'd do it for free if you bought the paint and I could do whatever I wanted... Heheh.
