I was curious what kind of other forums users on techimo visit. I use to be in the fxp scene stuff but getting too old for it, its more fun to just have a nice conversation or debate on a particular subject, I think techimo and sysopt are great but sometimes you just need a break from PC's hehe. And please dont reply with fark.com.
Could be PC related still, as long as theres a nice little (or large) community of competent people able to think for themselves and can hold up discussions.

not too many other forums, but sometimes I'll vist the irc chat room .. not a whole lot of deep discussions lol but sometimes nice to just BS for a bit and people do come in occasionally and bug eddy about linux questions lol
I check out bitbenders forum occasionally, they're a competitor of ours on UD but I check out their community occasionally.. just slower over there lol

The reviews have helped me a lot in recent times, especially when they have re-visited past reviews of hardware I have.
Also the articles and links there have a no nonsense approach.
As for the community... They call it a beer garden for a reason. |

Xtreme PC Central as mentioned already is a place I like to visit.
Sometimes I spend time at the forums at DSLReports.
Plus a coulple semi-private boards run by friends.
The newsgroups are interesting too. The only one I really check on a regular basis though is the Soyo group to keep updated on my motherboard. |

I use Tom's hardware, ESPN message boards and a new tech forum just started by a friend called The Tech-Desk. Check it out. |
