    Should I be worried?

This morning I was on the public bus from where I park to school.... I was feeling fine, absolutely great. It was about 9 am.
So, I am getting off at my stop, and I remember being on the last step. The next thing I remember is lying on the ground on my back.....
The weird thing is I had to have walked at least 3 or 4 steps to be where I was from the bus step. I was by the front wheel of the bus.
So, first thing is I'm a little disoriented.... but I am aware enough to be embarrassed that I fell. So, I got up and just walked off. I felt a little disoriented halfway to my building, when I realized that my hands were bruising and a little scraped (if I was on my back, how did I scrape my hands???) and that my left knee was bleeding and my jeans were ripped!!
But, I still felt normal. No headache, no dizziness, no shakiness, nothing. I felt fine before and after my fall. The only weird thing is I don't know how I fell or how I got from the step to near the front of the bus....
Also, I must not have been down too long, because the bus driver didn't come off to check on me?? He drove off after I got up and walked off.
So, should I be worried, or can you just forget things like this normally???

See doctor. Now. Hypoglycemia, diabeties, siezures. Don't mess around. Hope everything is okay and it was just isolated, but no reason to fool around with your life.

I still feel fine... I'm not sure why I don't remember it, but I won't go to the doctor unless it happens again.

I am hypoglycemic. Perhaps I didn't have good blood sugar levels as some of you suggested. I only drank a coke on my way to school.

Low sugar levels mostly make you tired and sometimes you get a headache. I think you just slipped and the unexpectedness of it startled you.

Nothings wrong, I think, so don't worry.

I agree, just go in for a routine check up to make sure.

By any chance were you wearing any tight clothing particularly turtle necks? if they are tight around the neck just right with other clothing it's possible it hit a nerve and caused you to pass out. I have heard of this phoenomen(sp?) in men with slightly too small dress shirts with ties, passing out for no reason at all, turns out it was the clothing they were wearing as it didn't happen all the time.

Just a thought, or possible you are um pregnant? some women pass out in the early stages of that. (i see this as highly unlikely)

Just check it out with a doc to be on the safe side and if it happens again keep track of when, where, what time it happens to give to your doctor.

I had something like that happen to me some 40 years ago. Not enough sleep, too much to drink, a large black cigar, and standing in line in an enclosed space waiting for a movie, I fainted four times in fairly rapid succession; they picked me up off the floor each time, and finally sent me off to the infirmary (never did get to see the movie). Diagnosis? some transient something-or-other. Never happened again. BUT: it's not something you want to ignore. See a doctor. Could be diabetes, could be lots of things you don't want to let go untreated.

    Good luck!
