Brandon, Warthog, Juanita, and you

So Brandon (mainly) and Warthog thought they'd have a little laugh by creating a fictitious member called Juanita. When we banned Juanita for posting a scandalous pic of "herself", Brandon publicly accused us of banning this fictitious character because she was black.

Both Brandon and Warthog have been trying to walk the edge in terms of what's appropriate here at TechIMO, IMO

Both have also been significant, useful contributors to this community as well.

I'd like to think that we can be willing to forgive trangressions, provided that the transgressors are willing to repent.

My view is that if both or either publicly apologise to Scott, the mods and the TIMO members, and promise to abide by the rules in the future, they should be re-instated. The mods will obviously be watching them closely in that case.

But if they are unwilling to take this step, they should stay out of the forums, and remain banned.

IMO, anyway

Can you relay this to them for me, Scott, if it is considered reasonable? Thanks.

They can read, they just can't post under their brandon184/warthog names. They know my email address if they have anything to say to me or to the community.

damn, and I enjoyed viewing their posts before I finally joined techimo.

I hope they come back, and if they do, I hope they don't pull a joke like that again.

Well that's too bad, they should have known better.

I personally have lost nothing including my temper over this whole deal, but I'm sure some apologies are necccesary. The mods, and you scott must have a lot of valuable time involved in figuring this scam out.

Yes, if they walk the line, and take the appropriate measures to right the wrongs,I think reinstatment is OK, but if they choose otherwise........So long guys

I think a public apology is a little over the top. A private ordeal could be handled, but why make it all public? If anything they owe not much more than an apology to the mods for wasting some time with what he/they did. Scam? I think it was a few people having some fun, unless there is a check in the mail..../me runs to check warthogs mailbox.....Just my thoughts.
