    Unhappy Wisdom Teeth

I had my wisdom teeth removed today by an oral surgeon. Went into my dentisits office (hadn't seen this dentist in some time) with a tooth ache. Turned out it was my wisdom teeth pushing on the rest of my teeth as well as my wisdom tooth had a large cavity in it. I have never been sedated before for dentistry but it was really weird. I could tell he was doing something but I wasn't functioning well enough to be totally consious. Sorry if this rambles but I am taking Vicodin and it seems to mess with my thoughts. Any way, if anyone has had their teeth removed I would like some advice on how long I have to eat soft (ie mashed) food and when can I actually start doning things rather than lying on the couch.

Did they put you under or give you a sedative?

Well, from my experience, not long at all. I've had more teeth extracted than I care to think about, and I've had eleven (11) implants. I'm usually eating normally (with nothing more than ordinary Tylenol) by day two.

They put me under... wow was that weird... felt like I was drunk for a good hour or two afterwards. My blood pressure was a little high while I was sitting in the chair as they were describing the procedure to me... lol. I wonder why

I've had lots of that stuff, you'll be OK tomorrow.

Follow instructions that the Dr. gave on the timeline, it varys as to whether you have stitches or not, they seem to heal faster than a socket does.

Eat lots of Cereal, soups, and fruits.. I like cottage cheese with canned Pears & Peaches, ask for the DelMonte Glass quart jars of them, you'll be shocked at the taste and smell, heavenly.
