No, I don't think so. Tell them to provide a link. Then check the validity of whatever site it leads you to. Also, remind this person that the Enquirer does not provide non-perverse, unbiased, factual information and that he should stop believing everything he hears from his/her buddies at work.

My Aunt persist in sending me this type of garbage. Virus hoaxes are common as well. I look them up and then send her a politely worded response telling her that forwarding e-mails like that perpetuate the hoax, along with links to sites for research. It doesn't help. She still sends them.

what was that one about some kid, that it was supposed to be in the cleveland or chicago paper?
I look into it, and they actually have a link at the newspaper stating it garbage.
I told all my friends to stop sending me the garbage, and they finally got the hint.
Now I dont get any email from them
Also, www.symantec.com has a real good virus library page, that lists hoax's also.
gotta love the chain letters!!!
Send this to 1,000,000 people of die!!!!

Once you allow this kind of spam from friends, it NEVER stops. In fact it is like validating every conspiracy theory ever created to that person. Then I have to explain on each and every email why it is bunk.
I love yahoo because I can just block their email address, and they eventually get the message once all their mail comes back
