Secret Swiss banks accounts should be banned.

I can see no valid reason for these secret accounts.

They are strictly there so the Swiss can skimm off monies from criminal activity.

The Swiss are empowering and encouraging the criminals and dictators around the world to steal from their people.

I believe the system is completely morally bankrupt.

Whether it be the rich husband trying to hide assets from wife and government.

To saddam trying to have a nest egg that he can steal from his people.

There can be no justification for these accounts.

In fact I believe the swiss hope for war to kill off some of their secret account holders in order to reap a huge windfall at the expense of Millions of starving people.

What do you think?

Of course the part that bothers me is the secret part. I do not mind swiss being bank central but their records should be open to scrutiny.

IMO If the Swiss want to have "secret" accounts, let them! I have more respect for them because they already told the U.S. Government that they plan on keeping these accounts secret..

Could you describe it?

I can't see past the millions of people starving as their countries are plundered. All so the swiss can prey on the evil that is rampant in the world.

They are the empowerers of war and pilliage and murder. Their neutral nature is a cover for the nasty immoral system they have created.

BTW I am not saying all swiss folks are bad but their banking system is evil central. Their hands are potentially bloodier than any single country in history IMO.

Don't know enough about them other than what is always in movies and books to make a fair judgement, but I always thought they were kinda shady.

So what if the dictators/drug lords/Mafia kept the money in their own country or on their own property? They are just as evil as they were before they started putting money into the Swiss banks.

Tax evasion ehh! Perhaps you should vote for lower taxes before trying to just take your money and run.

But again does your value you place on the secret bank accounts justify giving the OBL's of the world free access to money and the Saddams of the world the ability to take money from the poor and keep it for himself for a rainy day.

I can see some uses for it but the bad IMO is far more damaging then the good.

How bout some of the swiss folks chime in here and describe the valid uses for SECRET bank accounts?

I simply believe that there needs to be a name associated with an account and an address that can be traced.

The SECRET part is what is wrong. Not the interantional status of the bank.
