Hate crime

While flipping through the channels tonight I found a news story about a woman.

On her garage door someone had painted grafitti saying that she should return to France. She apparently has lived here most of her life and became an american when she was much younger. This sort of hate crime has got to stop.

In the story they explained her mother was part of the resistance who helped downed fliers during WW2. Since her entire family came to the us I think they do not need to harrassed like this. Her family is an AMERICAN family.

For anyone to, to, DO SOMETHING SO HATEFULL needs to be imprisoned.

Bigotry, racism, and sexism are still alive and well in America; home of the free.

It's sad, and yes they should be imprisoned vern, I agree.

Hate to say this, but this was due to the fuel thrown on the fire by our government.

Agree that these jerks should be handled.

But keep an eye on the media. The story of attacking the lady for being part fench is going out front page. The story of the jerks being captured will be page three at best. The story of their trail probably won't make it out of the local papers.

Lets face it. No matter what we the public want out of the media, they control what we get. And use it to control what we want...

I hate this, my aunt (proffessor of social something out of MSU, retired) could explain this endlessly. And did. And scared me with this sort of thinking.

This was twenty years ago. Today I wish I had taped her, not just listened. I wish I had listened with all my heart, not just half my attention (football...).
