He made a very good speech last night to the British public.

You can see it here (needs Realplayer)

I don't think it was ever a question if Blair was Bush's puppet. (He obviously is though..)

I don't think Blair is Bush's puppet at all. Blair was good friends with Bill Clinton because they both went to Oxford and have very similar political views.
The Blair-Bush relationship was very strained at the beginning of Bush's presidency for those same reasons. Blair is also very pro-Europe (with the exception of the single currency), and it is remarkably against his previous nature to go out on a limb against Europe and his own electorate. I think he truly believes that there is a threat that must be dealt with - information that will have come not only from American sources, but also our own (which are very considerable in the Middle East).

If the Brits are involved in Iraq, it is because we have a obligation and duty to stand by those that have stood by us, as well as a historic appreciation that Iraq was once under British control and we kind of messed it up a bit.

I do not agree with the manner in which this war has been contrived, but the end result (the removal of the Saddam regime and the liberation of the Iraqi people) is nevertheless desirable, and now battle is engaged it is my duty as a British subject to support my government and armed forces. Having been an Air Force dependent for much of my life, I have a good idea what forces families feel like when their spouses and parents are deployed. It's their sacrifice too.

Not very politically smart of Tony Blair to do this. Though the House has supported him, I fear it'll be the last time.

I think he simply believes the case in hand to be more important than his own political future. I have never liked the man, but I admire his determination to follow his conscience.

Blair is most certainly on his way out, but that is irrelevant he has achieved his goal he is now dispensable. Another of his ilk will however replace him.

And the next prime minister has already been chosen, he or she will do Americas bidding just as past prime ministers have done since Maggie sold the UK lock stock and barrel to the USA

Her payment for that treacherous act was her son being given the opportunity to broker a massive arms deal with a massive percentage bonus which will keep their family wealthy till eternity. That is why the details of that sorry saga has been classified top secret. The details of that bit of skullduggery can not be made public for 100 years.

You will no doubt have noticed that since Magie’s term as PM,
this country has never gone against America, and will never again do so either unless of course the UK public twig on to the fact that the UK is no longer an independent country. Then our PM may just give way on a few minor points to make people like my self look wrong.

But what do I know I am just a conspiracy theorist, as is any one else who is capable of reading world politics, but not able to prove it.

Well, in fact over the past few days Blair has rallied support brilliantly. The day before all tis happened he had a brilliant speech outlining the reasons for war. I have always believed it was a just cause - just I don't really believe what they say will happen afterwards. It will be too early for a new dictator to arrive and UN soldiers have stood back and watched as people were massacred in the past.
Britain IS an independent country. The pound is one of the strongest currencies on the globe and most heavily traded (much more than your 'us dolar') this is his reason for not joining the Euro as that would be comparable with tying uranium weights to your arms and legs and jumping off the aircraft carrier. An economy this strong needs to be able to set its own interest rates etc. Which the Euro would take away. Plus the £ is stronger than the euro anyhow.
