Not sure if I ever mentioned my boss is from the UK. He regales us with stories of his early career where they'd have a two-hour lunch, to eat and then head over to the pub for a couple of pints.

In my business, if you returned to work with the smell of alcohol on your breath, you could be terminated.

The same in my present company. But in my earlier job downtown (a block from Ground Zero), I was with an Irish Software Company.

There are large number of Irish pubs in that area also.
