I just want to say how much I appreciate how nice people are here. I don't know enough to really participate in the forums, and still people are willing to give me advice and answer questions. What a great place! |

Well lemme be the first? to officially welcome ya to TechIMO
Yes you'll notice that this is a pretty nice and not to mention mature group! Well most of them are anyways
Hope you'll stick around, and who knows maybe after awhile you'll be answering questions as well
Reading posts is a great way to learn, and please do not be afraid to ask questions!
Even if you just have a non-tech related question, and are just pondering the answer thats why we have the community here
Oh and posting in the community doesn't bring up your post count either, or most of us would be ultimate members
Have fun!
Tell your friends and neighbors and workmates about as well lol |

That's what we're here for, helping each other out
Don't worry about not knowing a whole lot about computers, everybody that is a member of this forum was in the same position at one time or another.
I think that we at TechIMO are more of a family than anything else. We work together to help each other with computer problems for the most part, but we also help each other sort out other problems in the Community forum (plus have some fun too ).
PS - Just the other night I had a problem with a new system I just built and posted a help request. Within two hours I had resposes that led me to the solution.

I just started using comps this summer. I started by just surfing the net, learning about hardware like cpus, memory, hard drives, etc.
However, I stilll wouldnt have had the guts to build my own only about a monthy later if it werent for "the old place" (you'll learn about that) which basically became the new place - TechIMO.
You will learn more here than you ever thought possible. |

Welcome Angela, if you have a question about the forums or the layout , or even want to know how to do something at work, we are ready to help. Don't forget that you can use the search button to find your last posts or even look for some info without asking a question.
How do feel about running a distributed computing client? We have lots of participants and they have lots of information. You can find basic info here. Here is the great group of people that make this a 'nice' place. |
