Donut shops are places for the strange...
I was in one and a lady fumbling for change had a gun fall out of her purse!
She says "Oh my!" and stuffs it back in and orders a dozen mixed as if nothing happened!
I'm thinking..."Decaf for you, Honey!"
Does yours still have a pinball machine? Mine dosen't anymore...

No DD around here we do have a Crispy Cream though.

lol OUT
When we first got a Krispy Kreme here, people were going absolutely bonkers for about a month. there was a constant line of about 40 cars just to get into the parking lot, all blocking the roads and causing chaos for freaking donuts. They had police directing traffic and everything. Poor Dunkin Donuts only about 600 feet away
Ridiculous.....If I was going there and couldn't find a parking place, I would be outa there, neverming waiting a half an hour.
It looked so pathetic. |

Buit frankly, here, Foster's Donuts is just as good, and Judy's Donuts are better than Krispy Kreme.
But Krispy Kreme has that great media hype going.... |

Krispy Creme was though to be a threat to mom & pop donut shops, but the opposite is proving to be true (at least here in Sacramento)... Krispy Creme made donuts "respectible" again and people are going to ordinary donut shops for the variety. KC is hurting the bagel shops the most, it seems.
Personally, I think they are too small, too sweet, and too expensive! |
