Concerning My Bombardment

First of all Hello,

I will be posting articles, commentaries and news from sites that I routinely read for anyone of you who might be interested, whether you agree with the content or are interested to know about alternative opinions and thoughts.

The articles are not intended to rouse any controversial debates or flames (which is the reason I took a vacation from Timo in the first place a while ago), although cool and controlled discussions are encouraged.

IMO such additions will add to the colourful, political and national, nature of Timo and will make it an even more interesting place.

If any of you should feel attacked by such content, or pissed off because you do not agree with it or because it goes against your opinions and ideas then try to calm down, and by all means take part in any discussions for a positive exchange of ideas.

Regards,
CM.

Why would anyone be offended by the "token liberal"?

Of course, this is primarily a tech site, so your tech contributions are welcome as well.

Ah, CM is back in full force!!

Good to see. We need someone to question our comfortable ideas about ourselves. If we never question, how can we ever discover ourselves as we should be?

I look forward to your posts, CM!

...and, of course, I will keep my flame-retardant underwear at the ready.

Cheers
Mick

Having spent most of my time at CM's own forum while away, I can attest to the fact that some of the articles are likely to be controversial, but they will also be highly informative and interesting.

CM, I can't wait!

CM --

I don't mind reading articles from opposing points of view!

But . . . . . . . . .

The easiest way to get a following isn't by looking for the most controversial articles and then bombarding. Try toning them down a bit, and then work yer' way up from there!

Notice I didn't say stop!

Another way to look at it:

Line up one hundred wheel borrows and tell a man he'll have to fill them with a shovel . . . . . . . . . he'll start to work!

Line up one hundred dump trucks and tell a man he'll have to fill them with a shovel . . . . . . . . . he'll walk away!

Harder

Nah, but he'll sit down and wait for the backhoe to be delivered and use that shovel

I thought it was a bit quiet around here ... must of been the calm before the storm
Mods... vacation is over, back to work

Generally not very vocal on the topics, but do on occasion like the reading

Bring it up, CM. I usually enjoy reading the stuff you throw on.

Sharder said it well. I hope there is some discretion used in both the frequency and content because unpopular posts that repeatedly cause havoc in the forums won't be allowed, nor do we want the forums spammed with a multitude of links for the purpose of advancing a political agenda. Members should be able to express and discuss their opinion, but I'm not the only member that has noticed that the forums are a lot more friendly and pleasant without the constant barage of political soap-boxing that was prevalent during the war.

CM, I don't know what you have in mind, but since you felt a need to create a thread about your intentions, I'll take this opportuinity post a reminder about content.

I agree, I don't mind a few news type threads.
But when I click view new posts and see a long line of these it is tiresome. A lot have few or no replies. Wouldn't these be better on a blog or news forum?
