You have to make sure that the seller accepts either of those two paying methods. |

Paying for on-line purchases without a Credit Card is possibly one of the most dangerous ways to buy things anywhere.
You have NO recourse if the items are not delivered, your account will be billed, period.
There are a few companies who still honor COD, www.compgeeks.com will do this and the fee is reasonable.
Get the credit up, after having a couple of cards, apply for the American Express "Blue" card, it has benefits not equaled by any other CC in the industry.

paypal will honor some fraud issues, but i agree, get a credit card with a good online fraud protection policy.
i know discover and amex's blue card both have good policies. |

I would use my credit card but they are such evil things. It has always been a belief that their use is for emergencies only. (perhaps one of those underlying things from childhood) |

You guys are absolutely right! I answered the question without offering sound advice. That's the best way to do transactions. Another good purchase for CC is major furniture purchases. |

i have paid for online purchases exclusively only with credit card...
I used to have a student visa with only a $250 limit.. was nice for ordering small things.. even if someone was to fraud my card.. after i purchased a few items there wasn't much left.. and it would have probably been declined.. LOL |

i use a credit card with a low limit to make online purchases. i buy computer stuff all the time so it leaves very little to fraud with.
