sending music files...
Theorectically:
I live in CA; my friend lives in Florida.
There is this cool new band out! I actually LIKE supporting the band, so I go out and buy their cd.
I would like to introduce the band to my friend, but he's not gonna spend $20 for a CD of a band he hasn't heard.
Is there ANY legal way for me to let my friend preview the music? In any way.
I thought the original deal with mp3's was that you could make them and send them but they had to be deleted within 24hrs. Is this a real law?
Any other ideas?

Legal?...sure, just package up that CD you bought, get him a gift card and send him the CD. There is no law (yet) that prohibits someone from buying someone else a CD.Originally posted by joker_927

Now.. before you think I didn't get your drift..sure I did, and there are several ways that I can come up with...but legal?..only one way!

Go to www.cdnow.com they usually have a preview of the first half of a CD.That's usually enough to tell if you will like the band enough to buy th CD.
No way to share it legally, no matter how you slice it

lol, cdnow doesn't even have the band listed.
Also searched for the Matrix: Revolutions soundtrack, and while they did sell it, there was no preview.
This is what I am mad about.
Guess it's time to go illegal.Abit AW9D-Max | E6300 | XP-120 | Panaflow 120mm | 2x 1GB G.Skill DDR2-800 | BFG 8800GT | Corsair 650w

Well see now I listen to stuff they have I guess, I rarely have a problem finding what I want.
Course I usually don't know about a new CD until it's 3 cut is on the radio

is there a long line of sniper serial murderers who are not currently served well by current 10 to 20 power scopes? Are there alot of bad shot serial killers just waiting for this technology???
