Can you hack this encryption?
I made an encryption algorythm and made a program to encryt stuff. I am making a program and need encryption for the passwords, usernames, and database... can you decrypt my message below?
I need to know if this is a good enough encryption.. or if i need new formuli.
EDIT: The massage below is actaull words and sentaces. some stuff may be spelt wrong since i cant spell.... but not enough of it to make a problem when decrypting. :TIDE
#1 Hint - Each Char stands for only one Char. There are no dummy chars.
And this could be sort of a challenge to you guys.
The encrypted message:
dpuw'w(y}'s~k~}wywz2'bxq$p0x~mtoqx}'o0|qw{.vw ~$}(sy0i$[sspuqv<swy$z}0Q,gh|0nurk.}$pt0|tmz.y{,kv}t(qrvw p,jv0uq${}0}i'w~(m$wo~et.pmx'{u(mrk.q(os|~|m, sm.vzuiur(mvl.zuxp|w(rsy.q(osuu{2'bxq$~}tp$i s0muxos(ll.{qvuo}m8$wo{syr<({v'rq|mfhu(qrj xmv|>(U+t.purrw~o,xow(s|zt(ni'xm,hhqjmwl.uvo v~q{r3.qvp${vu(wl~iyi'}xh'pu(m$sw|xi'sq{uiy .qvp${vu(|ezw~h'o0tux{zu(pmmtuzqr{<0[{$luv,mm.q(tejyuz,sy.szmgrs(ez.w,kl0wzi's~k~} wywz$tsp{h'rz$os0{ysr0{msz0vqik.w,xhyu(mts 0|{$ns(ll.|tiy.vqw5.evxiz0pq$n}(lp>6:$~vyk t$jom,M'}xh'vq~q${}0kteuuu(ux'w~|{$h.xi~hl0mzg y|usu<0Shv0|{$}(lv.wm${vy{:25.8Q3q'vxurn. ~wzi5<>(xss70Q,{pz|(ni'zwmuu0wz$h.xi~hl0wzi

Is that actual words when decripted or just jibberish?

It is actuall words, setances. It is a real message for those who figure it out.

November 21st, 2003, 08:32 PM #6I count about 50 different Char's that you used. That is 24 more char's than there are letters. I am a little confused by that. Each Char stands for only one Char

Sorry to confuse you. I meant that say there was the word green. encrypted it would only end up five charactors long i.e. something like $FG%^. (randomly done)
There is a pattern.

so the gist of it is that the letter "a" can be represented by more than one charachter depending on the word it is in.

Yep....
a big hint: remember there is a pattern on how the charactors are encrypted. it is not randomly done.
big hint #2: visit www.asciitable.com and look at the tables.

um is this symmetric or asyemmetic Encryption?
Iam assuming its symmetric
and what is your definition of good, cause from my pov, this algorith is crap, very breakable, but if you want to use it for like password protecting your little "fun program" this will do.
But if you are accually developing some sort of business program to market, this encryption is bad, very bad..... very very very very bad, just so you realize that

if its so bad and easy to crack why dont you crack it?

Yeah your encryption sucks Blaze...I cracked it already, but I don't want to post up the message...I'll let the n00bs figure it out on their own.

J/K of course...

cause i am lazy, and i am a relative newbie to the area, but yeah, someone with just a little bit of experience could have this cracked in minutes even
