| God, I'm an idiot... Please wait for this to change forum categories...
Am I the only one who thinks these "picture phone" shenanigans are really stupid?
The whole market seems to be geared towards going out in public and taking pictures of complete strangers when they're doing something embarassing. The local phone company's commercials feature a girl sitting on a city bus, where she spots a hot guy, takes his picture (without his permission) and sends it to her friend.
Am I the only who sees a problem with this?!

The next one of you that says shenanigans is going to get pistol whipped.
I agree, I think that entire "Picture Phone" tom-foolery is for the birds.

What's wrong with a little fun?
Lighten up and see the humorous side. What do you have to hide?
Cameras are so small now that it can be done with them as well.
As long as they don't publish it without your permission.
Cheers! |

Who knows, maybe I'm just up-tight... But when I do something embarassing in public, I could really do without someone snapping a photo of it and distributing it among their friends... Quote: |

| .. up until the point when you recieve a forwarded email with a picture of your daughter, or your sister in the locker room. Is that when the hilarity ends?

Yes. It would be much better if one of your friends could be the one to take the picture and distribute it amongst your other friends.....lol

The locker room is taking it a bit far.
This problem isn't new. The possibility has been around since the first miniature cameras hit the market way back when.
Don't walk down the street with your hands in your pockets or you will get mugged.
In other words, keep vigilant.

I agree... But just because the problem exists doesn't mean that the behaviour should be encouraged - which is exactly what happens when you bring "camera" phones into the equation.
It's also not just a few models that have this feature, as well... When I upgraded my phone, half the models I looked at were "camera" phones.
I see no productive purpose... The cameras aren't great to begin with, so I see absolutely no practical purpose, whatsoever. Hopefully the novelty wears off, and people realize that the extra $$ they paid for that little camera was a huge waste of cash.
