Cats or Dogs
Who like Cats and Who like Dogs?
I like cats better than dogs because they are more clean and they dont smell like crap whenever they come in from the outside and they dont drag half a dead deer into the yard and start chewing on it they kill mice and rats, i have a thirteen pound cat that is almost as wide as he is long and he beats up on my big dog that is three times his size.
i want all your opinions.

Cats act like they don't need you.
No appreciation.
Plus when was the last time a dog stuck his butt in your face?
Dogs never hold a grudge over the old "fake throw the ball" trick.

Dogs.
"The inherent vice of Capitalism is the unequal unfair sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of Socialism is the equal sharing of mediocrity and motivation. Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, gospel of envy, and its only inherent virtue is in the equal sharing of misery.

Cats. Dogs bark all night, dig holes in your yard, smell bad, scratch everything, and take a dump where ever they please.
Cats, especially male cats, purr at everything, are fun to watch, keep themselves clean, and are generally a lot classier than dogs.
You can't fix stupidity.

DOG!!!
"mans best friend" will forgive you..your mistakes and transgressions. A cat never forgets and treats you like scum..if your don't place it on a pedestal and pamper it 24/7.
That butt in the face thing is all too true.. my wife liked cats, and one morning about 5 am, I woke up with a cats behind being wiped in my face...my wife nearly had to scrape her 'friend' off the wall.
A cat will go out if its way to administer "payback"...see the image.

On the other hand, my pal will patiently wait for me as long as it takes...all he ever wants is a "hi Buddy'...and he is besides himself with joy.

Dogs.
Dog is totally loyal to you, is always glad to see you, can protect you, warn you even if small. As far as the smell thing. did you ever hear of a bath once and a blue moon. Smell is not a problem with my dog.
Rest room behavior. My dog has been trained to use the woods as her rest room. She does not dump in the house, and she does not dump in public. She runs out to tall grass or bushes and does it in private. We trained her to do this by bringing her to an overgrown part of the yard and it stuck. Now we open the door she runs to the same spot give or take 20 feet and takes care of business.
Barking is a bit of a problem. She does bark when strangers show up and poke around the house. She also sees phantoms or something because sometimes she does bark at nothing.
She never barks at night she sleeps at the foot of the bed and guards the door to the room.
her only problem is that she is 65 lbs and thinks that she is a lap dog, and she also does have rather furry feet which seem to collect allot of dirt when it rains.
I set a small basin on the front porch and dip her paws when they get filthy.
She never brings back dead animals but has been known to roll in a dead animal or two. That is just nasty. Bath time.

In weather as cold as this, it's awfully nice not to have to walk the cats...

Re: Cats or Dogs
Cats. Cats are more intelligent. Sometimes dogs are ok, some dogs. But mostly dogs are annoying.

My parents have three dauchsounds and they are the most annoying and stupid dogs ever, the one named Angel barks at pillows and runs into the walls and gets her butt kicked by both my cats, she also takes dumps on our walkway and our other two bark at everything that they smell or here, my cats on the other hand are quite, clean, and catch mice and rats. while the dogs drag dead deer peices in the yard and house. Cats rule dogs drool.

I prefer cats but love both.
My brother in law just rescued a pair friends a 5yr old dauchshound and his buddy a seal point siamese. They are so cute, they wash each other and sleep together. They came from a Dauschound rescue organisation. The dog only barks when somone comes to the house.

Dogs come in an incredible selection of breeds, sizes, demeanors and intelligence. Cats are umm... cats in different colors and a few different breeds.
Dogs don't end up road-kill half as much. Maybe because they are fenced in or on a leash. Dogs dart away from danger, not fearlessly(spooked) head-long into it. Dogs love riding shotgun and sightseeing. A cat in a car? Forget it, cage it or poke holes in a cardboard box for transport like a clawed wild mongoose, LOL! Dogs love the beach, mountains, hunting, etc. Dogs bond and are pack animals.Cats are more intelligent.
Cats are loners and want to be pleased, not please their owner.Last edited by Toadman; January 16th, 2004 at 08:20 PM.

Nope. My hotel is about 7 miles from the airport, and I'll be working at a facility right next to the airport.
