Concealed carry... too many options!

As some of you may already know, Ohio has just passed a concealed carry law (allowing it). Now I (like many other ohioans) am faced with a serious decision. Glock or Desert Eagle.

Now I already have a Desert Eagle but it is heavy and I'm not sure I want to walk around all day with it stuffed down my pants. The glock, on the other hand, would be much lighter but if I ever had to pistol-whip someone who was smarting off, I just don't think it would be effective.

So which would you choose? Glock? Desert Eagle? Something else?

All advise is welcome:-)

Why on earth would you have the need to carry gun around? For what purpose?

I just don't understand that.

Yeah, lol, why would you want to "pistol whip" someone? Is that even legal? In the UK, it is illegal to carry anything that is extremely dangerous to someone and use it for the purpose of fighting, say if you carried a hammer around all day on the streets for ie. If you found it whilst in a fight and smashed someone's face open, it's legal.

That's legal in UK? Huh.
It would be interpreted as unnecessary use of force in self defence situation if you smashed someone with a hammer.

We can't carry any weapons around, either, and I'm glad for that. It would be pretty scary to walk around if I knew every other person carried a desert eagle with them.
Guess that's just the point, to feel safe you need an even bigger gun, and that just goes on endlessly..

It's not unnecessary if the other person has a weapon too.

The 45acp is the only real efficient carry gun........IMO

You just need to be well trained with the aspects of the firearm to get comfortable with it.

I have an antique cannon from the civil war I keep in my purse.
That's why I drive a mini van.
