    Unhappy Stoned by a Kidney!!

I woke up at 5am this morning to an excrustiating pain in my abdomin. My god I was hurting. I took a shower then went off to work. I got to work tried to relax but couldnt, I went to take a leak and to my surprise, hey look blood. Completly shocked off I went to the ER at MT Clemens General. After waiting for a half hour I was in taking pain killers. Then the Xrays ugh. Then more pain killers. I got discharged after 3pm and came back to work I went. I dropped off my prescription for vicadin which I plan on taking after 5pm. Ugh the pain!! I dont feel to much pain now prolly cuz the meds Im still under.

Anyone have one of these before?

in most cases they will want to just let it pass. if its to big they will find another method for removal. there are a couple ways.

I remember my dad having an old glass (marked do not use!) in the bathroom when he had one. he said it was kinda like urinating a cockleburr. (looked about like a grain of rice.)

you have my sympathy, but the ladies who have had children will claim your a wuss in comparison to child birth.

Well in that case I'm glad I'm a man

I have had a stone before, and it feels like you just took a homerun swing with a louisville slugger to the groin.I have never felt a pain like that.

Then you get a plastic funnel to take care of buisness in the next morning so you can make sure you passed it,that's what they did to me.Luckily it passed on it's own,but OUCH!

    Good luck MC

been there done that many times I had over 16 stones in one year before I had surgery to remove a 18mm stone and they used a laser to widen out between my kidney and bladder(I forgot what they called it)No fun what so ever. I have had ultrasound several times and have had to pass many on my own. Do not go surgery route unless it it to big for ultrasound/lithotripsy as you will hurt for weeks after surgery and have to have a stint in for a week and it does not feel good at all.
