No vote from me and there won't be any but this one response.
If indeed you claim to revere the principles of the paladin then you must know that among the primary responsibilities is to foster peace.
The posting of such a thread (not once but twice) is a certain way to start a discussion of anything but a peaceful nature.
So which is it? Just trying to start an argument? or did you just not bother to think first? Neither are paladin like virtues.
I did not start this thread to start arguments my brother and/or sister, I just wanted to see what people thought out of cuioustioty.
Also, good one Redwolf |

I don't think most of the Evangelical Christian churches or mainstream protestant churches like Baptist, Assembly of God, Lutheran etc. consider Catholics Christian.
Not only the Virgin Mary, but it's that whole confession thing they don't buy. |

A better definition of a "Christian" is "like Christ" or "Christ follower".
Nowadays, Christian takes different meanings most of the time, and most people if you ask them if they're Christians, if they don't have a predominant religion, a lot will say "Yes." Whether that is true or not, we cannot tell.
The Christians came out of the Catholic church. The "Protestants" are more of what most people mean when they say "Christian".
I don't like the word religion. Too many perversions, twistings and deceptions.
Every religion is man made. In the end, it truly won't matter what religion you said you were part of. All that will matter is not religion, but a different 'R' word. Relationship. It will matter if whether you have a relationship with a certain person or not.
If you want to know more about what I'm talking about. PM me.

Not only the Virgin Mary, but it's that whole confession thing they don't buy. | I would have to disagree Surreal (an it isn't often that I do with you) but I am a member of the Christain Reformed Church, a rather conservative sect of the Protestant church and I know most CRC members would recognize Catholics as Christains, we may not see eye to eye on certain doctrinal issues, but we certainly would consider them Christains. I can't speak to Baptists, and Assembly of God members, but there again I don't think most of them would consider a Catholic a non-christain. Perhaps members of the Protestant Reformed Church (Possibly the most conservative of the reformed wing) would not consider Catholics Christains, but I think they would believe anyone who isn't Reformed would be a Non-Christain as well. |

I don't follow a religion. Religions are man made, thus politically and morally corrupted because of our fallen nature. I am a follower of the Truth. What is the Truth? That Jesus Christ came down here and died for our sins, but rose again 3 days later. Accept Him, follow Him, read His word. And best of all, there isnt 16 zillion rules to follow like religions. Jesus only has one. "Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind, strength, and love your neighbor as yourself" |

Religion is more or less a government telling you what to do and how to do it. For example: how Catholics cant eat meat on Friday and how they have to give something up [forgive me, I dont follow religion, so I dont know what this holiday is called]. Your "religion" is telling you not to eat meat on Fridays. Some religion that is. Then they tell you if you dont want to go to hell you gotta go to church and worship some inanimant object that we have no proof exists. Does this prevent you from dying? Does this promise a heavenly afterlife? Does this promise anything? If it did, Id be the first one in line at church on Sundays. Religion is almost a cult-like society where people gather and are forced to believe what a book from who knows where tells them to believe.
If you ask me, religion has no grounds, no proof of any of its claims, and limits someones thoughts, beliefs and freedom. |
