Knoppix

I am intersted in trying Linux and have decided to start with Knoppix. I have no idea where or how to get it and burn it to a CD. I have found sites that say they have the proper info to download to be able to install it but it all looks confusing. I am looking for two things.

1. A place to download it from
2. Detailed instructions on how to make the bootable CD.

ok first off what burning software do you have...most of them you should just open the iso and click burn

also www.linuxiso.org is where I get all my distros

Nero 5.5

I tried your site and when I click any of the links to download the ISO I get a 550 Failed to change Directory error on everyone. Am I doing something wrong?

Download it from here
ftp://csociety-ftp.ecn.purdue.edu/pu...4-02-09-EN.iso

Once you have downloaded it, open up Nero. File -> Burn Image
Browse to where you saved the iso.

you will also have to change the filetype to open but you dont have to do anything in the burning program to make it a bootable cd as the nessary files are already included in the iso

you may however have to go into your bios and set the cd drive to boot before the hard drive if it isn't already
