Burning Knoppix 3.3

elroy you do not need to use that program...that is just if you want to run the image off of your harddrive

all you need to do is go into nero and then file->openchange the file type to iso or all files and then browse to where you saved it to...the image already contains the nessary files to make it bootable

Got it to burn, just can't get it to boot from CD upon restart.BTW BIOS is set to boot from CD first.

Are you burning it as a data cd or an image cd? You need to burn it as an image.

It had to be that simple.Yes as a data! DOH! Ok back to it.

i used burn4free to make a cd of knoppix

right click on the iso file and burn

I took your advice and downloaded burn4free.Worked like a charm! This is the first time I went online with Knoppix.Using it now as I type!!!Previous versions wouldn't recognize my onboard ethernet.My two mainboards are MSI K7N2G-ILSR's nForce2. This latest release of Knoppix has the drivers for the LAN so I can use this.Thanks everyone who replied.I finally got up the nerve to try Linux.Who knows, maybe my first choice in OS's down the road.
