I like checking out these LiveCDs.
Here's my comments on the ones I've tried.

DAMN small Linux: Versatile
DemoLinux: Slackware I think
Knoppix The Best!
Knoppix-STD: Nice tools
LindowsLive!:
MandrakeMove? Nah!
Morphix: Okay
PCLinuxOS
PHLAK Another nice tools distro
SLAX
SuSE: Learn to install the real thing.
SystemRescue: Another handy rescue disk

One I didnt see but must mention is Mepis /Mepis Download
I like Mepis.
One to avoid? That would be DeepWater Linux. Did'nt like that one much.

One that I didn't see mentioned was Lorma 4.1. I've used it before and it's slick. It's based on Fedora.

Woah I never realized there were so many. I wonder if there will be a day that live cds outnumber distros.

Ive been pretty sucsessful at recovering crashed windows boxes with knoppix. Havent tried any other ones (well besides the gentoo live cd )
