    NVidia config options

Hey, just plugged in a few options i was reading about and they seem to have made quite the difference Thought I would share, in case I am not the last to pursue these options

    Option "RenderAccel" "true"
    Option "NvAGP" "1"

added to the XF86Config-4 file. It seems to speed up menuload times and window refreshes quite a bit. The second option just tells it to use the nvidia_agp instead of agpgart...speeded up glxgrear from 2300 to 3300 fps, I won't complain

    Just thought I would share.

That will work with all Nvidia cards (although I think lower than GF2 may have some issues. It is all in the Readme on nvidia's site in the driver install pages).

I am running on a FX5200 on the 2.6.3 kernel (Mandrake 10, using Xfree still). I just had a friend pop it in, and he confirms that it does make a difference, so maybe it isn't my eyes playing tricks on me Not sure about X.org

The renderaccel option really helps when using xorg 6.8.0 and the composite extension.

I think the options were in the readme for the nvidia driver.
You would enter them in your XF86Config/xorg.conf file in the Device Section for your nvidia card.
