    Angry Please Help Uninstall

     
    hi there i almost threw my comp out the window so any help is needed.... i need to know please how to uninstall Mandrake Linux 10.1 from my computer......thanks (perty basic i guess)

    hmmm do you have Partation Magic 8 ? if you do use it to format the linux partation and after that you can edit your boot.ini to boot from MS OS

    boot with a win98 startup disk. at the A: prompt (providing you used either linux bootloader) type "fdisk /mbr"

    then you can boot back into xp and use disk management to format whatever drive you installed linux if you chose a seperate one.

    Next time boot the XP CD go into rescue mode and at the console run fixmbr -- not a good idea to be fiddling with Linux if you have a shaky grasp of computer/Windows basics such as disk setup and boot loaders -you could easily have lost your data
