Mac spoofing with Ubuntu 5.10?

Hi all,

I'm leary of using wifi access points, I know information is recieved/sent is encrypted using WEP or WPA, but I want to be able to use wireless access points or wifi in stealth mode, undetected...I'm jusing Ubuntu 5.10 and I'm not sure if there's any software I can download that would either spoof my MAC address or allow me to be in stealth mode, if anyone has suggestions of what I can download or do please let me know, thanks.

Like i said in the private message, if the data is that important you shouldnt be jumping onto random access points.
