I haven't seen Damm Small run either on removable or a partition yet while having used the
Live Mepis, Gentoo, and best of all Knoppix Live for dvd/cd distros. With Fedora's Core 4, a
ubuntu, Gentoo, Mepis, and Knoppix Live distro the desktop icons you see are the drives on
the system that Linux has detected while on a MS OS the icons are for IE, Outllook, and the
desktop shortcuts to software executables as well as the recycle bin.
While Fedora's Core 4 was installed direct to the drive Knoppix was the one of three to be
able to actually access the multidrive, multipartitioned system used here. You simply look at
the icons for "Drive #1, Drive #2 with more then one hard drive installed. CD #1, CD #2, etc.
With Knoppix at least a window similar to Windows Explorer will open for each chosen. You simply double the desktop icon to open a drive that Linux has detected and displayed the icon for. It's a little different at first to more or less get used to.

36 novels by Chas Dickens, starting with the Old Curiosity Shop. I've only read one or two over the years, and I just got this bug to do it all at once.
