    Hey guys,

i have currently got suse 10.1 installed and wanted to know if there is an easy way to switch between KDE and GNOME - currently using GNOME desktop - i just want to see what KDE feels and runs like... without having to install a new version of linux btw - also if i did want two installs of linux can i use the same swap space for both...

You have to install the KDE packages in YAST. I don't know what the exact package is on SUSE. After it's installed, you can log out and there is a sessions menu where you can choose KDE or GNOME, then log in.

The menu detail that GameManK mentioned is good for any window manager you install. I currently have 4 different one's now.

    Ditto to KarmaKiller.

    I have:
    KDE
    Gnome
    Fluxbox
    XFCE
    IceWM

All in my sessions menu under Fedora. Use what fits your mood (usually KDE... come on v4).

KDE4 is supposed to become even prettier than KDE3, AND with a 20-30% performance increase and double buffered throughout for that "solid" feel.

The KDE guys are doing it like MS should have.
