    cant boot BackTrack live cd

     
    compaq presario r4000

    I have tryed my desktop my fathers thinkpad all have froze at diffrent points of the boot.

    I wan't to have it on my compaq.
    at boot: I type /boot/vmlinuz

    it works then freezes at NET: Registered protocol family 2. I have let it sit there for 10-15 min and doesn't move

    Did you ever get this working? I was just curious because after seeing your post I checked into backtrack and was wondering how you liked it? I downloaded it but haven't had a chance to mess with it yet.
