Yeah, done lots of different OSes with either Virtual PC or VirtualBox.
The only issue is that it has it shares resources, so a resource intensive OD will make BOTH of the OSes run sluggishly. So, IMO< best to only run those OSes virtually that you know will use low amounts of system resources.
Good for checking out specific features of alternative OSes, though.
Cheers
Mick

I had tremendous slow downs in Virtual PC. I ran VMware and I was like, HOLY CRAP! Way faster!
I tried installing Virtul Box here on this computer with VMware and didn't work. I think it's because of VMware's services etc. However, I did install it to Vista without a hitch. |

I am using the beta version of Windows VM and have tried VMWare Player. Can't say I find a speed difference in them. |

I commonly virtualize Linux, BSD, SkyOS, ReactOS, Syllable, and various other operating systems for testing and personal interests. VirtualBox, Virtual PC, VMware, QEMU with KQEMU accelerator, etc. - some platforms respond better to certain hardware virtualization implementations.
As of late, I have considered attempting the installation of a Plan 9 distributed computing system across multiple virtualized servers.
