Name 2 reasons why we should do your homework for you?
C'mon, at least Google and then ask if you don't understand what you find.
Cheers

It's not homework and I found the answer. There are more than just three. Can you name any? One?
I will do my own work, thanks.

Depends on what your question actually means. Did you mean changes within the Unix system? Or actually technical "firsts" that were first shown/used in Unix?
Sorry for thinking it was some kind of homework. Very rarely to ppl pop ask and ask such questions otherwise.
Cheers

SShhhh! It's a mid term.
• Portability – Unix can run on many different hardware platforms.
• The Pipe – a connection between the output of one program and the input of another.
• The commandline user interface – The Shell |

What about heirarchical filesystems and online documentation (man pages) as well? Unix also was the first major microprocessor OS that supported TCP/IP, a pretty good start for teh interwebs. ;cool:
Unix is actually responsible for much of the personal computer explosion we have today.
Oops, not supposed to be helping, am I?
Good luck on the mid-term.
Cheers

How about Bind? More for these intertubes. Introduced on BSD, not technically unix, close enough.
