I gave OpenSuse 11 a test drive yesterday --
Overall it's about the same as the previous iteration (10.3); an officer should be posted saying "Nothing to see here, move along now."
Most annoying bug: YaST Software Manager would not allow me to uninstall package groups - I could select all-in-list and delete but it was simply ignored - I had to run through each package individually as YaST balked about broken dependencies --which would not have been broken once all the related packages were removed (specifically KDE4).
And speaking of KDE4
OpenSuse 11 did give me a hands-on of KDE4; At install time they did note that KDE4 was not as mature as version 3 -no kidding - and to me different is not always innovative. I was unimpressed and annoyed by various glitches. Though I suppose some of my frustration came from learning to do things a new way -icons within icons? Personally I prefer to right click options and chose properties rather than click a tiny wrench, but hey, that's me... I went back to KDE3.5
Most annoying KDE4 bug on Suse: When applying a new KDE4 theme the machine I was using as a test bed locked solid each time.
