Contemplating the Re-Install of ubuntu

Im toying with the idea of going back to using a linux distro like 8.04 Ubuntu. I do lots of gaming and folding. What is ya'lls take on my hardware support for going back to ubuntu and doing games on cedega?

i will be installing Linux Mint. Hopefully everything goes well and ill reply back on how good i can get games to run and drivers to install.
