Description says it all. Looking for a distro thats easy to setup, easy to get updated video drivers from ATi (or someone who can walk me through it), and basically replace windows altogether. Im not biased towards any distro, just want one that fits what it will be used for.

I did okay with Mandriva One and using Wine. For more serious gaming, Transgaming/Cedega or whatever it is called today would probably be better than Wine.
I would have used Ubuntu, but Mandriva was more willing to work out of the box with my wireless network card.

Linux Mint is based off Ubuntu, and is one of my favorite distributions.
Linux gaming is kind not that good atm, although using Cedega or Wine may help.
Unless you play Nexuiz a lot. |

You might probably research a bit if they can run under linux with the different approaches... Cedega (you will have to pay for) / Wine. |
