dual boot problem booting XP

i am new to linux i wanted to learn so i attempted to set up a dual boot with XP already installed, i then installed Ubunto linux

now i boot and i get the choice to boot into Ubunto or XP. If i choose Ubunto it boots fine and i can run linux.

if i choose XP then i get an error saying that autochk is missing and is being skipped then loops back to OS choices

before the Ubunto install i used PArtition Magic to set up the partition for Ubunto.

now from what other people say is that one partition may be hidden and if i can unhide it then i should be able to boot windows.

if anyone can help me as its getting frustrating. also am new user to linux so don't know how to navigate around or use some of the features . help would be appreciated.

problem solved it was because my XP partition was hidden. it took hours to fix but the end fix was by using Partition Table Doctor, i unhid the partition and re-booted now all good with dual boot xp & Linux
