    Linux Kernel 2.6.32 Now Available

Usual laundry list of fixes, plus graphics subsystem improvements for modern ATI hardware. Keep a lookout for repository updates.

This release _feels_ long overdue due to two empty weeks for me (kernel
summit and thanksgiving week vacation), but it's actually less than three
months since 2.6.31, so I guess it's actually not that far off the normal
    schedule.

Okay, then what do you suggest I run on my dual-processor Itanium 2 workstation?

I would prefer to say that I use what works, at least from an idealistic standpoint. When it comes to IA-64, Linux works.... for the most part.

Microsoft is an alternative, though a copy of Windows Server 2008 R2 with IA-64 SMP licensing costs multiple times more than my whole IA-64 system is worth.

On the x86 side of computing, I generally prefer BSD over Linux, but that is more due to my stance on various open source software licensing models.
