Noob in need of help!

so i just installed DockbarX and i wanted to install a theme so im following the instructions and it tells me to copy the theme folder into the dockbarX theme folder, but when i try and do that it says i dont have permission to do that. any tips?

You don't say which distro you are using.

You need to be root or use sudo to open your file manger.

In Ubuntu
open up the termenal(Applications>Accessories>Term) and type sudo nautilus then copy away.
Other distros log in as root...

P.S. As root you can do anything, so stay out of files if you don't know exactly what you're doing
