Installing WoW help...?
Hi there everyone, for starters, I'm relatively new to the Linux OS (Linux mint 9.0).
I've recently been attempting to install World of Warcraft (WoW) onto the system through a program called Wine.
When I open up the Wine configuration program, i have the InstallWoW.exe as a setting on Windows 7. I've searched around online the past few days and have the corrected settings... but for sake of use, i'll list what i have changed.
Under the Graphics Tab i have enabled the "Allow the Window manager to decorate the windows" as well as " All the window manager to control the windows". Pixel Shader is enabled as well as vertex sharder support, i have hardware selected.
When attempting to open the file, a notification alert shows up and says, "The file '/home/_____/Desktop/installWoW.exe' is not marked as exectable.
i tried the terminal and did the following...
chmod +x InstallWoW.exe and it says it cannot access the file.....
Any suggestions??

Mint is a derivative of Ubuntu. Have you looked at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WorldofWarcraft

i was able to get up to the point where it had asked me to use Firestarter--
Was unable to connect using the "Fire Wizard" i'm on a wireless network, thus, selected that as my network. Yet, was unable to connect. I am receiving an alert message stating, "Failed to start the Fire wall. The device wlan0 is not ready. Please check your network device settings and make sure your internet connection is active." Which it is.. =/ any thoughts?

An alternative is to install the app called PlayOnLinux and install through that.
