openSUSE install issue-vid card

Hey guys! Been awhile since I messed with Linux. Decided to start messing with it again and I had really liked SUSE before, so decided to go with opensuse.

I am having an issue with the vid card though. The install goes fine and when it gets done with the install, it reboots and the boot loader comes up as it should. When I select SUSE to load, everything loads up as normal...until it gets to the desktop. When the graphical desktop comes up, it is all garbled. I am sure this is due to the vid card and driver issue.

The vid card is an Nvidia 7800GT. It has been a long time and I know Linux and nvidia were not friendly a few years ago. Is this still the case, or is there a vid card driver that would work for my card? If there is a driver...what would be the best way to go about intalling the driver? Is there a way to install the driver during the actual OS install? I would prefer to do it that way.

I am currently using a bootable USB to install the OS...and then downloading the packages online during the install.
