Here is a good LINK on how to edit your /etc/lilo.conf file. (if lilo is your bootloader)
You should find your fat partitions under /mnt. sorry, I had /mount at first.
Mike EDIT: have a look HERE if you have a Conexant modem chipset and see if you can find a driver for your modem.

If you can't find what you need, take a look at www.linmodems.org and see if they have anything that helps. I went the hardware modem route myself.

| Ahhh, the power of the edit button! Sorry bout that.
As for 9.1, it's so new they don't have an RPM yet. You might have to download the Tar Archive and install it manually. http://www.mbsi.ca/cnxtlindrv/hsf/do...s.html#generic
Look under Generic packages with source |

Open Konsole (like a windows dos screen) and type su, hit enter, and enter your root password to log on as root.
Type lsmod (thats a lower case L) to see if your soundmodules are loaded. Look for modules that start with snd-.
Also open Kmix if you are using KDE and make sure your sound isn't just muted. The green bulb over the volume slider should be lit. If it isn't, just click it to unmute it (the bulb will then be lit). If muted it doesn't matter where your volume slider is set, you'll still get no sound.
