3d gone AWOL
Right, my 3d functionality seems to have gone AWOL. Even Glxgears seg faults:

Doesn't matter, solved it. Turned down my GCC optimisation level. This had been compiled with -O4! Recompiled X, and patched GCC.
Works now anyway._____

Wow! I've never optimised beyond -O2. Guess I'm a real chicken.

-O3 and above stuff gets messy. Sometimes, depending on the program its much faster to use -O2 or even -Os (Optimise for size). Most programs don't work right if you use O5 or O6.
Some things benifit from higher optomisation level (X for instance, but not in this case) and it makes sense to try the best you can go with, and if it doesn't work, fix it._____
