I orginally extracted it to bf1942/bf1942/start.sh and all the toher files, I'll move it back to bf1942, I need a KVM switch I'm tired of switch my monitor  /. |

move it back to the bf1942 folder then execcute the following commands
cd bf1942
./start.sh with options |

Ok now it is at file:/bf1942, and cd bf1942 wont work nor will .start.sh work |

example: if you extracted it to /bf1942/bf1942server then cd like this: Code: cd ..
cd /bf1942/bf1942server then run ./start.sh
its basically a shell script.
EDIT: I just saw you are using Konquor.. dont use it. go to KDE (if using KDE then go to run program) then run program option then type kterm and it will run the KDE Terminal program.
then do the CD commands as above. |

Ok, sort of got it working and I did run terminal from this folder and when I do ./start.sh it shows this:
linux:/bf1942 # ./start.sh
./start.sh: using dynamically linked binary
Bf1942 Error: Debug assertion failed!

Hey, Thronka your thing worked, adding the cd .. first then doing cd bf1942 works, but I think maybe I need to chmod it like the guy above said. How to I +x it? |

Well, I don't think I'm using Konqueror to run commands, I clicked a little button on the bottom left called "Konsole"
As you can tell, I'm very new to linux. |
