| 'Damn Small Linux' and internet problems
Just got 'Damn Small Linux' up and running but i dont have the internet. So far im liking Linux but not having the internet on it is annoying.
I have cable internet and the only thing i know about it is that it says "terayon TJ615"
I've only been using linux for 3 hours so i dont really know what im doing.
I've been searching google and none of the results help.
Whats it going to take to get the internet up and running? |

Are you using the modem through an NIC, or USB? I'd avoid the USB option at all costs, but that's just me. |

That, my freind, is probably your problem. Switch to a normal patch cable and your troubles should go away. |

The modem latches on to a MAC address which really should remain the same no matter what OS you boot. |

Still no internet. Maybe I'll switch to a more documented and mainstream version.
On a side note, do most linux versions have the "Kill Client" option for applications? I'm lovin' that.... |

Did you make sure your USB nic card is working ok? Any link lights on the USB NIC?
I am not sure but I have a feeling that that Distro doesnt' support USB devices.. but not sure. Might wanna check that out.
