Laptop RAM
Hi
I want to upgrade my RAM up by 512MB, and Sony says that I need to get this type of RAM:
512MB DDR266 DDR-SDRAM SO-DIMM
I haven't much idea what this means...
I see so many types of DDR SO-DIMM RAM...a bit confused.

You need 200-pin SODIMM. How much do you have now? Do you know if you have an available RAM slot?
EDIT - Oh yeah, DDR266 = PC2100

I have two slots - currently have 512MB installed - don't know if is two 256 chips or one 512...
What if I install a higher speed ram than ddr266 - will it still be compatible?

It should be. It will just run at DDR266 (PC2100).
